MSTS Midland Mainline Route | Europe Rail Travel Guide
This is the Midland Mainline route made by Europeanbahn for the Microsoft Train Simulator. The route runs from London St Pancras to Bedford and the route is roughly about 45 miles long. The rolling stock included is the Class 43 HST and the Class 222 in the newer Midland Mainline (now defunct) livery. The other rolling stock included is the Class 37 in GIF livery, a Class 319 in Thameslink livery as these units run from Bedford to Brighton and a Class 373 Eurostar which is an AI only controlled train. There are 10 activities included which utilises all of the supplied stock that comes on the CD in the pack which cater for all tastes. My verdict, although the route is nicely modelled and the cab and sounds for the Class 222, 37 and the 319 are good, the rolling stock quality is very basic and cabview for the HST could have been better for the asking price of £24.99. The price is a bit steep considering that the Great Eastern route and the Irish Enterprise route made by Making Tracks are around £18-22 and the quality of their products is among the best payware add-on packs available for MSTS regardless if it is a route on a CD or a downloadable stock pack. My rating for this route: 6/10
A good route, I also have the expansion pack to this, you have extra tasks with that.
I have crashed into a train a few times at luton on the expres service due to the signals being to close togeter and no doubt going to fast.
My only complaint is that you dont get much of a view from the HST indoor carrage, and theres no people on the platforms. Ghost town!
But other than that its a good route. And its more up to date than google earth (or it was at time of buying it.
